Cocksure appears in the Maidening stage (Chapter Two) when the desire to be loved and wanted by others is a hallmark of this stage of transformation.

Although girls and boys enter school with similar measured ability, in high school girls fall behind their male classmates in math, science and self-esteem. In this phase the cocky teen tries to prove her worth as she leans back on HIStory. This 12 inch ceramic sculpture is not glazed as she is far from finished.
