Dear Congressmen: Mother's here still hanging around and I've noticed how women have advanced since my days in the 1800s. But Dear Congressmen, I am indeed sullen to learn, according to the 2013 Global Gender Gap Report which measures gender disparity around the world, that the United States didn't even make it in the top 20 of 136 countries! Among other disparities, women do not get paid equally for doing the same job as men, and do not have much political empowerment! They only hold 18% of the seats in Congress, and less than that on corporate boards. I understand that can change, as women make up 51% of the voting public, and as I've experienced over the years, Shift Happens! So speak up ladies!
